Hypoxia/hyperoxia intermittent therapy (THHI)
Intermittent Hypoxia/Hyperoxia Training (THHI) is an approach that enhances the health of your mitochondria, boosting energy and vitality.
Mitochondria, often described as the "powerhouses" of our cells, play a crucial role in our vitality, energy, and longevity. Over time, however, they can suffer damage, leading to a series of health issues that affect not only our energy but also our physical and cognitive performance. THHI offers an innovative solution capable of revitalizing your mitochondria and, consequently, your quality of life.
Through a combination of breathing in environments with low and high oxygen levels, THHI not only improves metabolic efficiency but also promotes a healthy balance, crucial for cellular health. If you're looking for an effective way to increase your energy, improve your performance, and slow down the aging process, THHI may be the answer you've been waiting for.
THHI is a technique that combines cycles of breathing in hypoxic (low oxygen) environments with hyperoxic (high oxygen) periods. This method stimulates the body to improve its efficiency in oxygen utilization, benefiting cellular health while promoting physiological adaptations resulting in:
At PINTO COELHO CLINIC – Live Longer, we use CELLOXY technology, which complies with all EU regulatory, quality, and legal standards.
During THHI sessions, patients wear a controlled respiratory mask that ensures precise inhalation of air. Bodily reactions are monitored in real time via biofeedback, providing personalized care to meet your specific needs.
During a THI session
During a THI session, the patient lies down and breathes air through a mask
An oximeter is placed on the finger
The air contains low (hypoxia) or high (hyperoxia) oxygen levels
During the session, SPO2, heart rate, and respiratory rate are monitored
The oxygen concentration changes and returns to the treatment protocol when back to normal
The patient feels relaxed, and in most cases even falls asleep during the session
A full session lasts between 30–60 minutes
After treatment, the patient can return to normal activities. Intense physical exercise should be avoided on the same day
