Clinical and Health Psychology is one of the major areas of Psychology, aiming at the evaluation, diagnosis, planning, monitoring, and intervention in various psychopathologies and/or chronic illnesses, focusing on their emotional, behavioral, and/or cognitive repercussions, using different approaches and techniques, such as psychotherapy, psychological support, and counseling. It primarily seeks to promote and maintain health (education and literacy), enhance the well-being of healthy individuals, collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams (e.g., adherence to treatments), conduct research from a biopsychosocial perspective, among others.
